How does an Industrial RO Plant Work?

The raw water undergoes a comprehensive purification process.
First, it passes through a disc filter, effectively removing large colloids and particles.
Next, it goes through a multigrade filter that eliminates turbidity, sediments, and dirt.
The water then flows through an active carbon filter, which removes odors, color, chlorine, and other small particles.
Following this, the water enters an antiscalant dosing system to prevent scale formation on the RO plant membrane edges.
A micron filter then removes particles as small as 5 microns.
The water is subsequently pressurized by a pressure pump and passes through the reverse osmosis membrane, which removes dissolved colloids, bacteria, viruses, and particles down to 0.0001 microns.
The purified water then goes through a rotameter to measure the flow of final, rejected, and recirculated water.
An ultraviolet system in the RO plant removes bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms.
After completing all these stages, the fresh water produced is safe for drinking.
The CIP (Clean-in-Place) system is used to clean the RO membrane, removing scales and ensuring continuous production of fresh and pure water.
